Background
I bought Moonpenny back in September 2010 as my first boat to cut my teeth on from Burton Waters in Ipswich. The previous owner upgraded many parts of the boat and had the engine reconditioned which was what attracted me to the boat. I have since ironed out niggling bugs such as duff batteries, added new fire extinguishers.
Since sailing her I have enjoyed many weekend trips, I can say that she is fast, but has also been cared for and not abused whilst in my company.

Overview
The Salty Dog 28 is surprisingly spacious for her length, with a good sized galley and separate heads compartment. A major refit has been undertaken. She is a lovely sailing boat which is ideal for coastal cruising and has been to Holland on many occasions and occasionally raced prior to ownership.

Reason for selling
I'm selling Moonpenny as a turn of events has transpired, and I will be crewing on a friends boat to St Lucia on the ARC in November. I will continue to travel thereafter and imagine that I'll be looking to upgrade to a larger boat once I'm back.
